Blended Creative Writing & English

Primary 3 to 6

Creative Writing (Major) is a course designed for middle Primary (P3 & P4).

This weekly 1.25 hour course emphases on Creative Writing. The essential components of creative writing, namely vocabularies, editing skill and synthesis are part of this course. A full year course will run for 10 months and 10 different themes with the associated vocabularies cum idioms will be used to facilitate stimulus classroom discussion and promote creative writing.

Creative Writing & English (Royal) is a course designed for upper Primary (P5 & P6).

This weekly 1.5 hour course covers all aspects of English learning with emphasis on Creative Writing. Besides the essential components like vocabularies, editing skill and synthesis, comprehension and grammar are also part of this course. Based on different themes, a set of useful vocabularies cum idioms per theme and stimulus classroom discussion serves to promote creative writing.

Blended learning is achieved through a combination of classroom and online learning. Our teachers use Classroom to facilitates stimulus discussion, promote critical thinking and impart structural approach for effective composition writing. Story-telling provides the environment for students to present their writing as a mean to strengthen their self-confidence and a form of recognition. In time of examination, Teachers will make time to equip students with tips and advice in handling oral and listening comprehension. Online applications like Google Classroom are used to accelerate students' learning and means for teachers to uncover / pinpoint students' weakness.

A specially designed workbook will be provided to each students to jornal their learning and milestone their learning path.

Secondary 1 to 5

This weekly 1.5 hour course covers all aspects of English learning with emphasis on Writing.

Effective communication defines the ability to express oneself clearly and completely, either verbally or in written form. There are 2 basic aspects in achieving this: the content and the language skills.

In our course, we create a stimulus environment to promote creativity and improve language skills. The correct use of grammars, appropriate application of vocabularies and techniques to minimise spelling errors, are essential components to better ones English. This needs to be complemented with the right amount of practise in comprehension, synthesis, editing and different form of close passages.

Students are encourage to participate actively during class discussion and present their work - providing a written and spoken learning environment.
